Jayne Farthing

My Name is Jayne Farthing. I live in the beautiful Herefordshire countryside where I work outside when possible and also in my attic studio.
I grew up on the western slopes of the Malvern Hills and a little gate at the top of our garden led straight to "the path of light."
Having always been involved in creativity including dance, drama and theatre from a very early age, and continuing with other forms such as dress design and ceramic painting, I began working as a professional fine artist in 1990.
Exhibitions of my paintings have been held in Malvern, Worcester,  London, Overseas and have works in private collections as far away as Australia and Bali.
My aim has always been to capture beauty, peace and transcience on canvas which also include past reflections and memories.  I love our English 'Blossom' which lasts such a short time and is so full of the newness of life in spring - and the Malvern Hills which are held very deeply and special in my heart. - The sky larks and the ever changing landscape - the rape fields of brightest yellow against blue skies and winds, linseed, trees through the seasons, bluebells and gorgeous red poppies.
My work is always steered by my heart and I believe art cannot ever go wrong when it is.
I have been commissioned to copy famous impressionist paintings - often for interiors and for those wanting a copy of the 'real thing'.
My paintings are now reproduced by Giclee Gallery, on canvas, as the original and can be produced in any size required - frame or unframed.
